BEFORE A LOSS · PHOTO CHECKLIST

What would you
want to show?

Start with each space. Add the close-ups that explain what was there. Keep the record somewhere you can reach away from home.

01 / THE WHOLE SPACE

Rooms, closets and storage.

Agreed views through rooms, closets, showers, garage and storage areas. Include visible finishes, cabinetry, flooring and fixtures. Multiple camera positions help show areas hidden from a single view.

02 / THE OUTSIDE

Walls, garden and exterior systems.

Agree viewpoints around accessible exterior areas to show walls, windows, doors, landscaping and other visible features. Identify the AC equipment, water entry and irrigation controls you want documented.

03 / SYSTEMS & APPLIANCES

The item and its visible label.

AC equipment, water heater and appliances: an overall photo and a readable accessible model or serial label. Electrical panel: agreed visible panel, service rating and directory photos where accessible. Smoke detectors: locations on the floor plan and in-place photos only.

04 / SELECTED BELONGINGS

The details you choose.

Artwork, artist signatures, tabletop pieces, crystal, silverware, antique furniture and selected finishes. Decide which close-ups matter beyond the room view. Jewelry and firearms are outside our scope.

05 / YOUR PAPERWORK

Receipts worth keeping with the photo.

Gather the purchase receipts or service records you want photographed. Details in a tag come from the photos themselves. Cover unrelated account or payment information before providing documents.

06 / YOUR OWN COPY

Keep access away from the property.

Our pre-loss record includes one year of private hosting and your own complete files for safekeeping or self-hosting. Annual renewal is optional. Keep a separate backup you can access; confirm any later refresh visit with David.

A visual record with a defined scope.

Agree what to capture before the visit. This is visual documentation of accessible conditions, not a valuation, functional test, comprehensive contents inventory or insurance coverage decision. It does not require taking smoke detectors apart.
